Terms of Service

Last updated: placeholder — not yet finalised.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Safegrd application ("Service"), provided by Safegrd ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. What Safegrd does

Safegrd helps hospitality venues track staff training, procedure acknowledgment, and general readiness in connection with the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 ("Martyn's Law"). Safegrd is a record-keeping and workflow tool. It does not provide legal advice, and using it does not guarantee compliance with Martyn's Law or any other legislation. Duty holders remain responsible for their own legal obligations and should seek independent legal advice and refer to official Home Office / SIA guidance.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for the actions taken under your account, including staff members you invite via unique links.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Team, Pro) are billed on a recurring subscription basis via our payment processor, Stripe. You can cancel at any time; downgrading to the Free plan does not delete your existing data, but Team/Pro-only features stop being available.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to access data belonging to other accounts, or use the Service to store unlawful content.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited as set out in a final, solicitor-reviewed version of these Terms.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
